Built by AC Cars when they relocated in Malta this Mk.V is one
of only three RHD Carbon Fibre body cars built before the
factory sadly closed in 2007. Finished in gleaming burgundy
metallic, striking white stripes and roundels, beige leather
upholstery and full weather equipment. She has covered only 5,800 miles
from new. Power comes from a 5 litre Ford V8 with sequential
fuel injection developing 340BHP! Further upgrades totalling
some £10,000 include a special stainless steel exhaust system
(which sounds phenomenal), lowered suspension and reprogrammed
ECU. Shod on Cooper racing tyres the performance and handling of
this remarkable Cobra is just awesome!. There is a fully stamped
AC service history.
MOT. The number plate AC 56 COB stays with the car! This is a chance to own a very rare
modern AC Cobra that

British racing green metallic with tan leather upholstery, 79,000
miles full service history. Tax and MOT. Good music system.
The good bits! In November 2007 @ 77,000 miles the engine was
removed and totally rebuilt using Mahle HC pistons and Nikasil
liners and recon turbo charger. This work was carried out by Pat
Thomas of Kelvedon Motors (Lotus service dealer) @ a cost of
£11,800 including a Tracker.
Further work includes adjustable springs and dampers, big
brakes, new radiator and cooling fans. Stainless steel sports
exhaust. A King's ransom has been spent on this car!
Now the bad bits! In 2001 the car sustained damage to the
front while stationary and is recorded Cat D (repairable but
insurers decided not to repair). The damage was front wing and
bumper, no chassis damage. A new bumper was fitted and the wing
repaired. However the repair is not to the high standard we
would expect on a Lotus. There is some blistering on the
paintwork, the bonnet hinges need repairing and the wing repair
could do with being done again to make it perfect.
This is a great car that needs some TLC to make her lovely
again.
